FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

•Animals up to 40 lbs. in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
– Perform laboratory tests, including blood tests, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
– Prepare samples for analysis and maintain accurate records of test results
– Assist with radiography and other diagnostic imaging procedures
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Provide assistance during surgical procedures, including monitoring anesthesia and sterilizing surgical instruments
– Clean and maintain examination rooms, treatment areas, and laboratory equipment
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

Qualifications:

– Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility preferred (1-2 years minimum)
– Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide compassionate care to animals
